Blood drive donations could help as many as 90 people.

International Falls, MN. (August 25, 2010) — Thirty people donated during the Memorial Blood Centers blood drive Thursday, August 19 at Rainy Lake Medical Center. As one unit of blood can help as many as three people, 90 patients could be benefiting from the units collected at the blood drive.
Each week, Memorial Blood Centers needs the support of more than 2,400 donors to adequately supply blood to area hospitals.
“Since less than seven percent of the population donates blood on a regular basis, your commitment is vital for local patients,” says Nicolle Olness, Memorial Blood Centers Donor Recruitment Representative. “Please extend our heartfelt thanks to the donors at Rainy Lake Medical Center. Blood donors are special people for truly giving of themselves so that others might live.” |
