Falls Memorial Hospital Employee Named Outstanding Pharmacist Dick Peterson receives award from the Minnesota Society of Health-System Pharmacists. International Falls, MN (May 13, 2009) — Falls Memorial Hospital Pharmacist Dick Peterson recently received the Outstanding Pharmacist Award from the Minnesota Society of Health-System Pharmacists. The award is presented in recognition of outstanding performance and achievement. “Dick possesses the skills and qualities required to receive this prestigious honor,” says FMH Interim CEO Bonnie Erickson. “He is a leader in implementing progressive pharmacy practice changes and is always looking for ways to improve the care of patients.” Peterson has worked at FMH for more than seven years. He is active in educating and mentoring pharmacy students and started working on medication reconciliation to improve the care of patients four years before it was mandated by the Joint Commission. Peterson accepted the award at the MNSHP annual meeting in Rochester in April.
