Falls Memorial Hospital Names Employees of the Year Debbie Dunn and Mike Blesi receive awards at annual Hospital Week luncheon. International Falls, MN (May 14, 2009) — Falls Memorial Hospital announced its Employees of the Year at its annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon held May 13 during National Hospital Week. Debbie Dunn, LPN, received the Isabelle M. Nilson award in nursing. Dunn has worked at FMH for 35 years and was nominated by co-workers Frances Ducharme, LPN; Jodi Tilander, CNA; and Betsy Loop, RN. “[Debbie] genuinely cares about her fellow employees and her patients. She is friendly to all and is always quick to offer a kind word and a helping hand to those in need,” writes Ducharme. “All I have to do is watch what a go-getter Debbie is,” writes Tilander. “She comes to work and literally dives right in. She always comes to work with her smile, showing a readiness to put her best foot forward.” Loop writes, “Debbie goes out of her way to take care of patients and their families. She loves patient care and spends quality time with patients to get to know them and what their needs are.” Mike Blesi, IT Director, was nominate by Frances Ducharme, who writes, “I think Mike epitomizes all we strive for in service excellence; he cares about his job and his fellow employees, he is dedicated to Falls Memorial Hospital and the service we provide to the community, he provides leadership and is a mentor to all in his department, he provides excellent customer service and is a wiz at his job, and he is there when we need him.” Employee of the year nominees included: Clinical staff; Betsy Loop, Laura Miller, Dixie Pullar, Nancy Burmeister, Wendy Sutch and Sue Vidor, and Non-Clinical staff: Roseanne Leseman, Heidi Sutherland and Nancy Peterson.
