Falls Memorial Hospital Promotes Employee Wellness Medica recognizes FMH for dedication to Shape-Up Challenge program. International Falls, MN (March 24, 2009) — Falls Memorial Hospital received a five-year recognition award for its participation in the Medica Shape Up Challenge, an employee health and wellness behavior change program. “Of the more than one million participants in Minnesota, FMH was one of two organizations to receive this award,” says Margaret Hyatt, Environmental Services Director and co-chair of the program. “It is a real tribute to the hospital’s dedication to supporting healthy lifestyle choices among its employees.” The Shape Up Challenge is a six week health challenge that encourages employees to eat more fruits and vegetables, exercise, practice stress management and more. Employees earn points by completing healthy activities outlined on a score card. Points are submitted weekly to encourage a friendly competition. Falls Memorial Hospital will compete again this year, along with more than 175 other Midwest companies. This year's challenge runs April 6 - May 17.
