Rainy Lake Medical Center is pleased to announce the hiring of three talented and experienced Nurse Practitioner Hospitalists that will provide a rotating 24/7 care coverage for inpatients. According to Roz Snyder, RLMC Chief Nursing Officer, “We have been working hard to achieve this vision and now we’re excited to be able to offer this patient care model to our communities if the need arises for inpatient care. Each Practitioner will work one week on and two weeks off. This model will allow our patients consistency and high quality healthcare. The Hospitalists will also have 24/7 access to Internal Medicine Physicians via Avera eHospitalist, a telemedicine service. Provider shortages in rural areas are always challenging, especially in primary care, but with the growth of the Nurse Practitioner profession it’s addressing that concern head-on. This is a growing and successful profession and is benefiting patients with comprehensive, patient-centered, quality healthcare now more than ever.” RLMC offers urgent care, emergency care, surgery, cardiology rehab and diagnostics, chemo and infusion therapy, family medicine clinics, radiology, obstetrics and gynecology, therapy services, hosts sleep studies, laboratory services, orthopedics, swing bed care (both acute and skilled nursing facility care) and outreach specialists.
