Rainy Lake Clinic Adds Family Nurse Practitioner

International Falls, MN (August 16, 2016) – Rainy Lake Medical Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Amber Biondich, FNP-BC. She will be working in the Rainy Lake Clinic, as well as in Urgent Care, and assisting in the Emergency Department when needed.

Biondich received her Bachelor’s of Science, Nursing (RN) degree in 2005. In 2011, she completed her Master’s degree from The College of St. Scholastica. Biondich became Board Certified in 2011 by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She completed her Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in 2015.

“We are very pleased to welcome Amber Biondich, FNP-BC, back into her home community of International Falls, to provide patient care at Rainy Lake Clinic,” says Kris Foss, Executive Director of Clinic Operations. “Amber is a very skilled health care provider. She is developing wonderful relationships with her patients and brings increased access to excellent patient care in the clinic.”

Biondich has had much experience in the medical field. Prior to August 1st, she had worked at Rainy Lake Clinic on a casual basis. For the past three years, she has worked as a family nurse practitioner in the Urgent Care at Fairview Range Hospital. Prior to that, she worked at Littlefork Medical Center for three years. Before completing the Nurse Practitioner Program, Amber worked as a registered nurse at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in cardiovascular telemetry and in the Birthing Center. She also worked at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis on the Medical Surgical Floor. Amber is a Falls High School graduate.

“Amber is an excellent addition to our clinic staff. She joins our primary care team of Jay Knaak, MD, Nancy Burmeister, FNP-BC, Brad Reiners, PA-C, and Nicki Busch, FNP-BC. Our goal is to provide quality healthcare to our community,” adds Bonnie Erickson, CEO.
